Richard is part of the third generation of family leadership at ADVANCE and brings more than 30 years of media experience to Headline Studio. He began his career at The Times-Picayune in New Orleans in 1990, learning the business through hands-on experience.

Selena Roberts
Head of Entertainment
Selena develops and produces scripted and unscripted projects with our partners at Headline Studio.
Before joining Advance Local in 2019, she was a bestselling author and award-winning journalist at The New York Times, Sports Illustrated, and ESPN. She is also an accomplished filmmaker. Her work includes the festival award-winning documentary Gored (Netflix), Bannister: Everest on the Track (BBC), The Stand (Amazon), and Stop at Nothing: The Lance Armstrong Story (Showtime).

Charlotte Newhouse
Senior Producer
Charlotte works to take stories from our journalists and develop them into unscripted and scripted projects. She has background as a gifted writer, producer, and performer over an 18-year career.
Her industry experience includes being a main company member at The Groundlings Theater and developing and revising screenplays for MGM. In 2014, Charlotte co-created, executive-produced, and acted in the Comedy Central series Idiotsitter for three seasons.
